Likewise, navigation between links on each page can be performed using the tab key.

Colour profiles and interface text sizes

Following established accessibility criteria, the Bilbao.net website has been adapted for persons that have problems perceiving colour. In addition to the standard colour profile, another set of profiles has been provided, each adapted to a specific issue. A set of icons on the top left of the page can be used to change profile.

Likewise, all font sizes and other page elements have been implemented using relative units. In so doing, their size can be changed using the controls available in each browser. In addition to using the corresponding menu options, this function can be evoked using the following shortcuts:

  • Internet Explorer : Control and Mouse Wheel
  • Mozilla Firefox : Control and Mouse Wheel , Control and - or Control and +
  • Opera: Control and Mouse Wheel , Control and - or Control and +
  • Netscape: Control and - or Control and +
  • Safari: Comando and - or Comando and +

Likewise, navigation between links on each page can be performed using the tab key.

Compatibility with different browsers and platforms

The source code for this website has been developed using XHTML and CSS2 technologies recommended by the W3C for the correct independent display of navigation elements and the adequate separation between style and content. In addition, at all times the highest level of accessibility has been applied, as foreseen in the WCAG/WAI recommendations of the W3C (level AAA).

Therefore, the entire site should be perfectly usable with the majority of existing browsers and platforms, or at least on those that support the XHTML standard.
