Aurrekontu eskaseko berrogeita hamar bat film zuzendu zituen, eta hauetako askok oso emaitza onak izan zituzten, esaterako Poeri buruzkoak edo A bucket of blodd (1959) edo The little shop of horrors (1960) dibertigarriak. Dirige casi cincuenta largometrajes de bajo presupuesto, a veces con espléndidos resultados como en su serie sobre Poe o las divertidas A bucket of blood (1959) y The little shop of horrors (1960). A principios de de los setenta funda New World, donde produce films sensacionalistas y de género y lanza las carreras de, entre otros, Jonathan Demme o Joe Dante.

Has directed nearly fifty low-budget feature films, at times with wonderful outcome like his series on Poe or the entertaining A bucket of Blood (1959) and The little shop of horrors (1960). At the beginning of the 70s, he founded New World to produce exploitation and genre films, and launched the careers of Jonathan Demme or Joe Dante, among others.
