Quality
Lan Ekintza-Bilbao is committed to quality through pursuing the following objectives:
- Improved satisfaction in the needs of our clients: Business promoters; Bilbao Small and Medium Businesses and Job seekers.
- To develop the potential and abilities of the Human Resources at Lan Ekintza-Bilbao to the full.
- To satisfy the needs of "our other clients":
- Bilbao city council as the owner of Lan Ekintza-Bilbao
- Other administrative bodies working in this field through inter-institutional coordination.
- Other collaborators, suppliers.
- To be more efficient in the use of resources that society makes available to us.
Lan Ekintza-Bilbao has received the ISO 9001:2000 Certificate of Quality for its support service to small and medium businesses. This recognises the programs to improve management, development and innovation that the agency has been providing for several years to the small and medium businesses in the city.
In 2005, we also obtained the ISO 9001:2000 Certificate of Quality for continuing training, the business centres-enpresaldeak, and the follow-up we provide to the companies that we supported during setup.
Health and Safety
From the beginning, Lan Ekintza-Bilbao has always made one of its main objectives a policy of prevention of accidents at work, to ensure that its activities are carried out in accordance with health and safety rules.
When Law 31/1995 came into force on the prevention of accidents at work, activities were ordered and systemised, producing the first Health and Safety Manual. In the introduction, the
undertaking by the company describes what, since 20 May 1988, we have understood our responsibilities to be.
Common safety system
LAN EKINTZA-BILBAO has joined the
Common Safety System in city entities in Bilbao, based on the agreement adopted by the City Council plenary session held on 18 December 1997.
Equal opportunities
At Lan Ekintza, we work to reduce differences in the job opportunities available to men and women. Since this is a subject that reaches across all spheres, our field of action is centred within a wider objective,
Municipal Plan for Equality between Women and Men in Bilbao 2003-2006
This is a summary of some of the lines of work we are pursuing:
- Specific studies and analyses on the problem of employment among women
- Specific programs and actions to improve employment among women: "20th century Entrepreneurs", "Women and Work Workshops", etc...
- Taking part in the Parekatuz Network of the regional council of Bizkaia
- Taking part in the Women and Work Network led by Garapen
- Any other action that promotes equal opportunities between men and women in matters of employment.
